DMCA and Copyright Policy
Last updated: 22 September 2026
GreatWallChiinese.com respects the intellectual property rights of others and expects our readers to do the same. We respond promptly to properly submitted notices of claimed copyright infringement in accordance with the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA) and comparable laws.
Our Content Standards
The written guides, page layouts, compilations and tools on this site are our original work. Where we publish factual information about a restaurant — such as dish names and estimated prices — we treat that as factual reporting about a third-party business and present it in our own words and our own structure.
We do not knowingly copy protected menu artwork, photographs, logos or descriptive text from any restaurant, delivery platform or competing website. If you believe we have done so inadvertently, tell us and we will act.
Submitting a Copyright Infringement Notice
If you own the copyright to material that appears on this site without authorisation, please send a written notice to contact@greatwallchiinese.com with “DMCA Notice” in the subject line, including all of the following:
- A physical or electronic signature of the copyright owner or a person authorised to act on their behalf
- Identification of the copyrighted work you claim has been infringed
- The exact URL or URLs on our site where the material appears, described precisely enough for us to locate it
- Your name, postal address, telephone number and email address
- A statement that you have a good faith belief that the disputed use is not authorised by the copyright owner, its agent or the law
- A statement, made under penalty of perjury, that the information in your notice is accurate and that you are the copyright owner or authorised to act on the owner’s behalf
Please note that under applicable law you may be liable for damages, including costs and legal fees, if you knowingly and materially misrepresent that material is infringing.
Our Response
Once we receive a valid notice, we will:
- Acknowledge receipt, normally within two to three business days
- Review the claim and the page in question
- Remove or disable access to the material if the claim appears valid
- Notify the person who submitted or created the material, where applicable
We aim to complete this process within ten business days.
Counter-Notification
If you believe your material was removed in error or through misidentification, you may send a counter-notification to the same address including your signature, identification of the removed material and its former location, a statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good faith belief the material was removed by mistake, your contact details, and your consent to the jurisdiction of an appropriate court.
Trademark and Restaurant Owner Requests
If you own or manage a restaurant featured on this site and you would like your information corrected, updated or removed, you do not need to file a formal legal notice. Simply email us at contact@greatwallchiinese.com with “Removal Request” or “Correction Request” in the subject line, along with the page URL and the details concerned. We are happy to work with restaurant owners directly and we will action reasonable requests quickly.
Repeat Infringement
We will terminate access for any contributor who is found to be a repeat infringer.
